Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Doston Jones is dedicated to serving his community. With a career spanning law, healthcare compliance, and public safety, Doston brings valuable experience to his role as a Board Member at Summit Recovery Hub.

Doston began his career at Jones Day, one of the world’s leading law firms, where he honed his expertise in healthcare compliance, labor, and data privacy law. He then transitioned to public service as a firefighter-paramedic with the Cleveland Division of Fire, where he also managed legal and compliance responsibilities, including the development of critical EMS response protocols.

Later in his career, Doston took on leadership roles like Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Thrive Peer Recovery Services. There, he ensured that this organization—dedicated to empowering those in recovery through peer support—operated with the highest standards of regulatory compliance and legal integrity. His work directly enabled Thrive to provide essential mental health services while prioritizing ethical practice and client trust.

Currently, as Director of Compliance, Privacy, & Ethics at Akron Children’s Hospital, Doston oversees a comprehensive compliance program for a nationally recognized pediatric institution.

Doston lives in the Akron area with his wife, Chanté, and their two daughters. His deep connection to Akron and commitment to community well-being make him a valuable asset to Summit Recovery Hub’s mission.
